Tom Clancy's The Division: How To Beat Clear Sky on Hard Mode

Jazz Rosin

The most anticipated update for Tom Clancy's The Division, 'Conflict', was made available on Tuesday, and fans just can't wait to jump in and try out the new features of the game. Players are particularly excited about the newest Incursion included in the patch, Clear Sky. Unsurprisingly, a few gamers have already beaten Clear Sky on Hard Mode. Here's how to beat Clear Sky on Hard Mode.

Arekkz has posted his Clear Sky Hard Mode run on his Youtube channel, and has commented that Clear Sky has an entirely different play style from the Falcon Lost Incursion. Clear Sky is split into two encounters and is not wave based, unlike Falcon Lost. There is no predetermined number of waves to finish in order to progress with the incursion, although technically there are still enemy waves to deal with.

We've summarized the basics on this article, but we still highly recommend that you watch the actual video (shown below) for loadout tips and others.

Part One: Breaking the Barricade

On the first part of Clear Sky, players would need to blow up a barrier and enter the Broken Circle. Rikers are defending the area, and players should deal with the normal purple enemies first.

As the player goes further into the game, yellow Elites will appear. Defeat them, and an enemy with an orange diamond icon on his head will appear with an explosive pack. Take the enemy down, and he will drop the pack, allowing the player to pick it up. The player would then need to place it on the barricade to the left.

The player would need two of these packs to progress. To get the second pack, players would need to deal with another wave of enemies until the next enemy with another explosive pack comes out. Deal with him, and the player will be able to get the next pack. The player should then place the pack on the barricade and blow up the door. That covers the first half of Clear Sky.

As with Falcon Lost, players are continuously bombarded with mortar strikes during the incursion, and must watch out for those. Players are also advised to restock before heading on to the second part of the Incursion.

Part Two: Inside the Broken Circle

Once the door is open, players should head to the center of the Broken Circle and press the button on the laptop. This activates the helicopter defenses. Getting to the laptop needs a bit of team play. One player should sneak in while the others take care of surrounding enemies.

Pushing the laptop button will also spawn two fuse boxes, which would need to be carried back to the middle and plugged in. Again, teamwork is essential, assigning one player to carry the fuse box while the others draw the enemies away. Mortar strikes are still present, and the players carrying the fuse box should watch out for those.

Arekkz recommends at least one player to back the carrier up, and heal them whenever necessary. Once the fuse boxes are in place, hit the laptop button to deactivate the helicopter's defenses. We are now ready for the third and final stage of Clear Sky.

Part Three: Boss Battle

The final part of the incursion involves a boss battle, which players would need to defeat. Arekkz commented that the boss is not particularly hard, and players should focus on the boss first, then clear out the bodyguards after.

Final Thoughts

Arekkz confirmed that the Clear Sky Incursion on Hard Mode is not as difficult as Falcon Lost. Players are recommended to farm as two 14 Gear Set pieces can be obtained on this level.

A higher difficulty setting, Challenge Mode, will be available next week.
