Although the Android N release date is getting closer day by day, yet users of Android Smartphones will have to wait a while to get their devices upgraded to the latest Android version. Presently, Samsung is busy with releasing Android Marshmallow upgrades to its devices.

Last week, during the Google I/O conference, the company had released the Android N Developer Preview 3 exclusively to Nexus devices.

Although Android N doesn't have an official name yet, Google is asking the public to help name it, yet it does have a nice list of confirmed features.

While some of the major device manufacturing companies like HTC have announced plans to upgrade their devices to the recent version, other companies like Samsung has been silent on the matter. However, this did not stop the users from speculating when their devices will be getting the much - awaited upgrade.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is planning to release Android N for several well-known devices including the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and Galaxy Note 5.

Incidentally, Samsung's flagship devices are always the first one to receive major Android updates, and this year Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 were among the first to receive the featured update of Android Marshmallow.

Moreover, the fact that Samsung is shooting to get the Android N update a little faster than the Android M makes it clear that Google is all set to launch the latest Android OS this Summer, rather than in the Fall.

The first batch of updates will reportedly arrive sometime in Q4, which consists of October, November and December. However, the Android N release for Galaxy Tab S2 will reportedly take place next year, after the initial update rollout.

Thus, users of Samsung smartphone need to stay tuned to news to know the exact date when their devices will be able to upgrade to Android N.
