Desktops and laptops have become a necessity for every individual. Those who are currently owning a Core i5 and i7 CPU seem to be contented with what they have. But for some who are deeply in love with the geeky world of computer should be familiar with the newest thing in the tech world, the Broadwell-E.
So, what is Broadwell-E? Arstechnica reported that it is an improved version of "Haswell architecture made on Intel's 14nm manufacturing process." It is the "Fifth-generation Core i3/i5/i7, Core M" as shown in their diagram.
In layman's terms, Broadwell-E chips simply have more cores, cache, and support for quad-channel 2400MHz DDR4 RAM. It is also faster than the dual-channel 2133MHz DDR4 supported by regular Skylake CPUs.
Those were only the tip of the iceberg. Meanwhile, the package of these high-end chip includes "the new 10-core option, the old chipset, and a new version of Intel's Turbo Boost feature which is called the "Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0."
According to PC World, this new product would be perfect for hardcore PC gamers. Just by looking at the details, they claimed that Broadwell-E could be the most innovative flagship product that Intel introduced.
On the other hand, one of Intel's General Manager, Frank Soqui, announced during the Computex show in Taipei on Tuesday that this is so far the" biggest and baddest" CPU that they have ever done. While some of the PC nerds are quite agreeing to the advantages, they might be surprised with the price. According to the website, it is priced at around $1,700.
Is the price justified? Well, given the features and the basic details about the product, Broadwell-E may be worth the money. Plus, those who really pay attention to having the most updated version of their computers must check this one out.
