Apple Will Show Off Watch 2 In September With WatchOS 3.0
Dheeraj RThe rumors trending all over the internet about the upcoming Apple Watch 2 hints at the possibility that the company has pushed forward the release date of the device by few months. Earlier, there were reports that the much-awaited Apple Watch 2 was slated to release during the upcoming WWDC conference in June. But the recent reports hints that the release date of the smartwatch might not be happening soon and will probably be launched in September.
Value Walk reported that one of the reasons behind the change in the launch schedule is because of the technical complications faced by Apple while working on the watch. Further, few reports also suggest that Apple has postponed the release date of the much-awaited smartwatch, as the company is planning to launch the device with the upcoming iPhone 7.
But, some reports teased the possibility that the main reason for the delay in the release date of Apple Watch 2 is due to its falling appeal amongst the developers. Vine Report reported few rumors that many application developers are apparently not interested in creating apps for the device. The statistics suggest that out of the number of apps developed for the iOS system; only one is reported to be designed for the upcoming Apple Watch 2.
"On a weekly basis we're seeing very few Watch apps, compared to iOS apps," said Tim Anglade, an app developer at Realm, as reported by Christian Today. "For every 1,000 new iOS apps being built, there are 10 tvOS apps and maybe one Watch app."
Meanwhile, with all the release date rumors and speculations, there are reports that the new Apple Watch 2 will consist of a new operating system i.e. WatchOS 3.0. There are also reports that the new smartwatch would be much thinner i.e. about 20 to 40 percent thinner as compared to its predecessor.
Besides, it is also rumored that the upcoming Apple Watch 2 will have a larger display. Ecumenical News reported that the much-awaited smartwatch will also feature the upcoming iOS 10 and a improve battery life.
Also, Apple is also expected to pool its manufacturing process with Samsung's Foundry's 14FF process in order to design a new chipset for the upcoming smartwatch. It is reported that with the help of 14FF process, the amount of heat generated in the Apple Watch 2 would be reduced to a large extent.
In addition to all the specs, the new watch is also expected to include the FaceTime camera with FHD video recording facility. It is also reported that the smartwatch will provide accurate location services through its latest upcoming version.
