The South Korean smartphone manufacturer, Samsung, recently unveiled its second version of the smartwatch, Gear Fit 2, with various improvised features as compared to its predecessor. The latest reports suggest that the latest wearable has few advantages over the Apple Watch, which was released last year.

Main News Online reported that the war between Samsung and Apple has gone to a whole new level as the new Gear Fit 2 has improved battery life as compared to the Apple Watch. The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is said to provide four days of battery support whereas Apple Watch has just 18 hours of battery life. It is reported to be a major difference in both the smartwatch.

Even if the majority of the specs and features of the smartwatch are similar, another difference is reported to be found in the pricing of the two gadgets. The New Star reported that Samsung Gear Fit 2 has been launched with price $179, while Apple Watch is available for $499. There are reports that the new Gear Fit 2 is a budget smartwatch with great features.

Further, the Samsung Gear Fit 2 smartwatch consists of automatic exercise detection option, detailed progress charts with specialized mobile app mode. It is also reported that the Samsung watch also features an improvised viewing mode, which gives the customers with a quality experience.

Besides, The Ledger reported that the Gear Fit 2 watch is compatible with any Android gadget with KitKat operating system or higher. Few reports also claimed that the latest Samsung smartwatch consists of 1.5-inch curved touchscreen AMOLED display with 4GB internal storage and a GPS tracker.

On the other hand, Apple Watch consists of a water resistant body structure with AMOLED touchscreen. The reports suggest that the smartwatch from Apple also features 8 GB internal storage with mp3 player.

Meanwhile, Tech Zone reported that a new version of the Apple Watch would be unveiled this year. The reports hint at the possibility that the new smartwatch will sport ARM Cortex A32 processor for enhancing the user experience.

In addition, reports also suggested that the Apple Watch 2 will also consist of FaceTime camera, which will enable the smartwatch users to make video calls easily from their wrists.
