MacBook Pro 2016 News, Specs, Features: No Update at WWDC; Rumors Hint At September Release Date
Dheeraj RThe much-awaited MacBook Pro 2016 was a no-show at the recent WWDC 2016 event. Reports hinted at the possibility that the new notebook from Apple might be announced in September 2016 along with the other flagship device, iPhone 7.
Techno Buffalo reported that Apple focused more on software updates instead of the launch of new hardware devices during the recent WWDC 2016 event. There are reports that the company is waiting for the Intel's Skylake Chip processors to be unveiled in the fourth quarter this year. The main reason behind this is stated that Apple will most probably include the Skylake Chips in the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 devices and hence the wait.
Besides, the MacBook Pro 2016 release date rumors, University Herald reported that the laptop series will feature new OLED touchscreen, which is expected to replace the physical function keys. Apart from that, the notebook is also expected to consist of multiple USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3, which would provide up to 40 GB per second transfer speeds to the device.
Furthermore, there are reports that the new MacBook Pro 2016 will be made available in two variants, i.e. the 13-inch and 15-inch models with 4K display capability, stated HNGN.
Moreover, the device is expected to feature the recently launched Mac Auto Unlock facility compatible with all the updated iPhone versions. According to the reports from WWDC 2016 event, it is stated that the MacBook Pro will consist of a potential Touch ID sensor.
Meanwhile, Apple announced some major updates to all its software during the recent WWDC 2016 conference event. Mobi Picker reported that the major platforms which received updates are iOS, macOS Sierra, tvOS and watchOS. Apple announced around 10 new features for its iOS 10. These features like enhanced photo app, lock screen functions, etc. are also expected to be included in the much-anticipated iPhone 7 device.
In addition, the US-based company also announced updates for its personal digital assistant Siri for the Mac system. It is reported that Siri will enable macOS Sierra users to use voice recognition and many more functions to carry out their tasks.
