JRPG "Final Fantasy XV" was in development for a long time, so the folks at Square Enix made sure that the long wait will be worth it, giving the fans tons of hours of gameplay.

During Square Enix's E3 live stream, "Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata laid out the number of hours needed to finish the game.

"In terms of clearing the main story, we're anticipating about 40 to 50 hours of gameplay," Tabata said. "So at the very least, there'll be 40 hours worth of content to enjoy in the final game."

Tabata also said that the developers have also included tons of side quests and "other extra things", which will take more than a hundred hours to complete. The final version of the game will have about 200 hours worth of gameplay, Gamespot reported.

The "Final Fantasy" director said that the studio wants to make the long wait worthwhile for the fans of the game by offering "a lot of content for them to enjoy."

Tabata also answered other "Final Fantasy XV" related questions during the live stream. The director confirmed that players can turn the HUD on and off to take screenshots or create a more immersive experience, but there is no option to adjust the camera distance at the moment.

Tabata also said that some may be underwhelmed by the low number of Astrals, or summons, in the game. The developers made it that way so they can focus on the personality and characteristics of each Astrals.

The much anticipated JRPG game had a huge presence at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, showing up on both Microsoft's and Sony's E3 press conferences. The first Xbox One demo was shown live at the Microsoft E3 press conference, while the "Final Fantasy XV VR Experience" was showcased at Sony's event.

"Final Fantasy XV" will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30.
