MTV's popular supernatural drama series "Teen Wolf" is all set to premiere its sixth season later this year, and fans can expect an exciting season ahead.

Amid all the excitement, there might be some sad news, as some of the cast members will not be returning for the latest season. According to rumors, Tyler Hoechlin, who was popular as Derek Hale in previous seasons, will be quitting the show.

Speculations suggested that his role has turned too serious, and he is having hard time adding humor to it. Hoechlin clarified this, sharing what he did like about his role as Hale.

"I actually really enjoyed all the arcs. I thought every season, they gave me something really kind of great and new to play with, so that was definitely never an issue that I had," he said.

He also mentioned that he doesn't have any plans of returning to "Teen Wolf" for the sixth season.

"Oh god. I'm sorry, I would love to make everybody cheer and be happy right now. I don't have any plans to right now," he shared.

According to Hoechlin, his part has already ended, and he has smoothly passed on the baton to Scott, who will be the responsible Alpha. It may seem that Hoechlin's eagerness to leave the show coincides with his role in "Fifty Shades Darker", where he will be playing the role of Anastasia Steel's boyfriend.

Meanwhile, in other casting related news, the show is searching for a Dylan O' Brien look-a-like for the upcoming season. This is because O'Brien is still recovering from the on - set injuries he sustained while filming for "The Maze Runner" franchise.

Notably producer Jeff Davis has already confirmed that the young actor will not be replaced, and he will be back in season 6 when he is physically fit.

"No, we aren't replacing Stiles," Davis told Creative132. "Dylan O'Brien will be back to film soon. He can't do any stunts and we're talking with Wes Ball, the producer of The Maze Runner, we hope to get him back on Teen Wolf to film, while being injured, but the thing is, he wants to film, he's in perfect condition. But he's just not doing fine enough to do any stunts."

"Teen Wolf" season 6 is expected to premiere sometime in November 2016 on MTV.
