The latest NBA trade rumors hint at the possibility that the Los Angeles Lakers might trade their point guard D'Angelo Russell to Sacramento Kings star player DeMarcus Cousins. The Lakers are reported to have a stronger team for the upcoming season; and with Cousins, into their team could get even bigger.

ESPN reported that D'Angelo's performance last season was average, prompting the Los Angeles Lakers to place him on the trading block for this year's NBA Draft 2016. There are reports that the Lakers are trying to sign up the power forward player from Sacramento Kings team in exchange for their point guard.

Cousins played one of the best basketball seasons this year with the average point of 26.9 with 11.5 rebounds per game. As a result, having him in the team will help the Lakers achieve their goal of reaching the top this season.

On the other hand, where Lakers are trying to hit a trade with Kings, It is reported that even the Sacramento team is looking forward to having D'Angelo Russell. "Sacramento has been heavily engaged in trade talks all week and sources say one player they've tried to land is the Lakers' D'Angelo Russell," tweeted ESPN's Marc Stein, as reported by MNR Daily.

The main reason behind this is said to be the Kings desire to increase young talent in the team. But, having Russell would mean that one of the other point guards from team i.e. Rajon Rondo, Seth Curry, and Darren Collison might have to be traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Meanwhile, few reports claimed the possibility that the Sacramento Kings might even lose their point guards, Rajon Rondo, and Seth Curry to free agency during this NBA Draft season. Hence, in order to maintain the point guard and young players balance, Sports Illustrated reported that Kings might think of trading DeMarcus to Lakers, even though they have to lose their all-rounder and in exchange bring in D'Angelo into their team.

However, the NBA trade rumors also suggested that there are other teams like Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, and Chicago Bulls, who are also trying their best to woo in D'Angelo Russell into their team by striking a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
