Avid viewers of "The Originals" have been waiting for updates regarding season 4. The newest reports revealed a time jump for Ian Somerhalder and Keelin To Fall In Love With A Mikaelson. Check out the details below.

Deadline confirmed that Christina Moses will be reprising her role as Keelin, who is an ER doctor and the last alive werewolf of her line. She might have an affair with either one of the Mikaelsons brothers, which is composed of Freya (Riley Voelkel), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies).

However, Keelin will expectedly be in danger come season 4. Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) will cause harm to her but the reasons are yet to be determined.

As for Ian Somerhalder's time jump, showrunner Michael Narducci discussed the plot in TV Line, which will be similar to the previous ones shown in the series. "We are going to have a little bit of a time jump in between when the story ends at the end of the finale and when we pick up in Season 4," he said.

"That experience in the time jump will be similar to what the audience is feeling. To me, in a way, it actually makes sense." However, he did not confirm if Ian Somerhalder will be involved in the time jump.

Game N Guide reported that Somerhalder and Paul Wesley will exit "The Vampire Diaries" to join "The Originals" on season 4. But then, this rumor can only be treated with a grain of salt.

"The Originals" season 4 is expected to air in October 2017. Aside from the mentioned artists, the TV series comprises of  Phoebe Tonkin as Hayley Marshall, Charles Michael Davis as Marcel Gerard, Danielle Campbell as Davina Claire, Leah Pipes as Camille O'Conell, Yusuf Gatewood as Vincent Griffith, and Steven Krueger as Josh Rosza, among others.
