Will Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) and Xander Beck (Josh Helman) finally reconcile in "Wayward Pines" season 2 to stop Jason Higgins (Tom Stevens) from wiping the human race from the face of the Earth? Spoilers ahead!

Now that the Fox mystery, science fiction TV series is nearing the end of its current 10-episode season, will its followers see bolder steps from these two characters?

According to Spoiler TV, a huge change is about to happen as Theo and Xander might just be forced to forget about their differences in order to save other people. And this will reportedly appear in the "Walcott Prep" episode of "Wayward Pines" season 2 which will air on July 20.

The episode's synopsis read, "Pilcher recalls finding his Chosen One. Then, as the Abbies close in, Jason makes a fatal judgment call and Theo and Xander must put aside their differences to stop him before the human race is lost."

Meanwhile, in tonight's episode of the series, the most glaring scenario is whether or not Margaret (Rochelle Okoye), the female Abbie, will be released, Carter Matt noted.

Amid this scenario, though, it was pointed out that Theo is determined to do everything just to prevent bloodshed from happening in "Wayward Pines" season 2, even if Abbies will keep on appearing every minute.

With only three more episodes remaining after tonight's airing, some fans appeared to be unhappy with how the American thriller is being narrated.

It can be observed that the present season only scored 38 percent in Rotten Tomatoes because it reportedly "drifts away from the intrigue and mystery established during its debut season, slipping into a dull, repetitive, and trite narrative."

Keep posted for more "Wayward Pines" season 2 spoilers.
