Apple Watch 2 Release Date In September? Wearable Might Feature S Upgrade With Magnetic Wristbands
Dheeraj RThe latest rumors on the release date of the Apple watch 2 suggested that it might be launched in September this year. After a no-show at the recent WWDC 2016 conference, reports claimed that Apple is planning to release the device with the upcoming iPhone 7 in few months' time.
Value Walk reported that the company will release the upcoming flagship wearable in fall this year following the Apple Watch's release date trend. This means that the Apple Watch 2 will most probably be released in September along with other company products similar to its predecessor.
Besides the release date rumors, reports claimed that the new wearable will feature an S upgrade. Apple Insider reported that this new upgrade will bring all the changes under the device's surface, which means improvements in battery specs, camera, and applications.
The internal changes in the Apple Watch 2 will include an ARM Cortex A32 processor, which will provide great battery performance and reduced power consumption. This new processor is also expected to make the device user interface more interactive compared to the first installment.
PC Advisor reported that the chip will also offer better media playback functionality to the Apple Watch 2 users. Moreover, the wearable is rumored to sport FaceTime camera for taking selfies. Reports claimed that Apple's wearable might also feature new sensors in connection with in-built health applications like Breathe.
There are reports that the Apple Watch 2 will sport a built-in GPS functionality, which will provide users better tracking abilities and less dependence on the iPhone.
As far as the external changes are concerned, the Apple wearable will feature a slimmer design and micro-LED screen for excellent display functionality.
Furthermore, the Apple Watch 2 is expected to feature multi-function or magnetic wristbands for additional protection while being stored or transported, Mac World reported.
