Dheeraj RApple's upcoming MacBook Air 2017 is expected to sport many exceptional specs and features. The upcoming MacBook Air will reportedly consist of Touch ID and Thunderbolt 3 port functionalities.
MacWorld reported that Touch ID will comprise of the fingerprint sensor, which is expected to be included in the Home button within the device Trackpad. This Touch ID functionality is expected to make the Apple Pay feature more secure compared to the earlier installments.
There are reports that the upcoming MacBook Air 2017 might also consist of USB Type-C port integrated with Thunderbolt 3, which will provide users with faster data transfers and charging support.
Furthermore, 9 to 5 MAC reported that the new MacBook Air will sport a thinner and lighter design along with enhanced internal specifications.The device might also feature new chassis and improvised cooling modules for providing high performance to the users. It is also expected to support 5K display technology with next generation highly improvised Intel Skylake processors. The new MacBook Air will also have bigger RAM capacity and a more efficient battery power.
Meanwhile, there are consistent rumors that Apple might replace the MacBook Air series with the upcoming MacBook Pro devices. The main reason behind this is assumed to be the variation in upgrades provided by the Cupertino-based company to the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air laptops.
However, amidst all these rumors, MIS- Asia reported that the next installment MacBook Air 2017 will be released in March 2017 in two variants, namely the 13-inch model and the 15-inch version.
The new MacBook Air 2017 device from Apple is expected to be priced for $1200.
