'Tom Clancy's The Division' Update: PvP Weapon Damage Increases, Massive Bug Fixes, And More

Jazz Rosin

Ubisoft has performed several maintenance checks on "Tom Clancy's The Division" these past few days. Here are some of the changes the developers have made in the game, in case you missed it.

The July 14 maintenance brought new changes to weapon damage in PvP encounters in the Dark Zone. Players will now deal about 20 percent more weapon damage to each other, according to the forum changelog. However, this does not affect skill-based damage.

This change will make Dark Zone encounters quicker and shorter, hence, making the PvP experience more interesting, according to The Division Zone.

Ubisoft has also added kill volumes to the newest Incursion Dragon's Nest. As per Ubisoft's own words, "Added more kill volumes to Dragon's Nest map. When exiting the map area, characters will be automatically killed."

The July 12 maintenance brought major fixes to the game, but the most notable would probably be the reduction of the G36 Assault Rifle's base damage by 15 percent.

Considering the recent 20 increase for PvP in the last maintenance, the G36 would still be viable in the Dark Zone.

The maintenance also fixed a bug on the Alpha-Bridge Gear wherein weapon talents can stack indefinitely while using the full set.

Here are the full changelogs for both maintenance:

July 14 Maintenance

- Modified PvP weapon damage modifier so players will deal about 20% more weapon damage to each other (note that this change does not impact skill damage)

-Added more kill volumes to Dragon's Nest map. When exiting the map area, characters will be automatically killed

July 12 Maintenance

- Fixed a bug where using the Evacuation Point in Underground before the new Objective Notification has appeared caused the mission UI to break.

- Fixed a bug where the AlphaBridge Gloves could miss some of their attributes. Note: this change is retroactive, which means that all attributes on existing AlphaBridge Gloves will be rerolled.

- Fixed a bug where the game music would stop completely when logging out while inside an Incursion.

- Fixed a bug where recalibrating the last Talent on the PP-19 submachinegun would not yield a free Talent.

- Fixed a bug where the Sentry Gear Set bonus would incorrectly apply when using The Showstopper automatic shotgun.

- Fixed a bug where using a Signature Skill could cause the visual effect to be applied to all nearby players (not just group members).

- Fixed a bug where weapon talents could stack indefinitely while using the Alpha-Bridge Gear Set 4-piece bonus.

- Fixed a bug where recalibrating weapon talents would yield a random bonus, instead of the one selected in the UI.

- Fixed a bug where players would die when returning to certain missions after respawning in a safe house.

- Fixed a bug where PC players would be able to use multiple consumables at the same time.
