Apple iPad 3 Rumors: Tablet's Release Date This Fall? Powerful Chipset, Camera Expected
Shilpa ChakravortyAlthough there has been no confirmed news about the possible launch date of Apple iPad 3, reports suggested that it could be released this fall.
According to the latest reports, it might be possible for the Cupertino-based tech giant to finally unveil the iPad Air 3 this coming October. Notably, October is the month when the tech giant launches its new tablets.
The previous iPad Air 2 was released in October 2014, leading many to believe that October is the month Apple would launch iPad Air 3.
As for the changes, it seems that Apple might make a thinner iPad compared to its previous version, which is 6.1mm thick. Additionally, it might include a 9.7 inch display with a 2048 x 1536 pixel density.
Moreover, the Apple iPad 3 will also contain Apple's latest A10 chipset, which would make it one of the most powerful devices manufactured by Apple.
Other than the all powerful chipset, Apple's iPad 3 will also contain a 12 MP iSight Camera with 4K video recording features and live photos. The front camera is expected to come with 5 MP FaceTime HD camera and a retina flash.
In other news, Apple's biggest competitor Samsung Galaxy S2 is 5.6 mm thick, compared to iPad mini 4's 6.1 mm. Thus, if Apple opts to make it thinner, it should add some more features to it to compete with its rival.
Although these specs have been floating in the air for quite some time, there has been no official confirmation of the same. According to some critics, the iPad Pro will have some subtle alterations made before it will launched.
Apple followers will have to wait for the upgrade news or the official declaration of the launch date, which is expected to be along with its flagship product of iPhone 7. Stay tuned to news for possible updates and details.
