The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 and Motorola Moto X Play are reported to be the best flagship budget phones available in the market. Even though the Samsung device is packed with excellent Snapdragon 617 processor and lower price tag, the Moto X Play is stated to be at par in terms of camera, battery, and price.

Below we have listed out few specs for both of the devices, which will help you in choosing the best option for needs and lifestyle.

Both the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 and Moto X Play smartphones sport the same screen size of 5.5-inch. But, they have different screen resolutions. The Samsung phone features the Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720 pixels resolution, whereas the Motorola device has IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and 1080 pixels resolution.

When the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 and the Moto X Play are compared, it is visible that the former has great processor specs, like Snapdragon 617 SoC paired with 2 GB RAM, while the latter features Snapdragon 615 chipset along with similar RAM capacity.

Furthermore, both the smartphones have similar 16 GB internal onboard storage. However, the Motorola device is also available in a 32 GB storage variant. Also, the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 and the Moto X Play consist of similar Adreno 405 graphics processor unit.

Moving on to the camera specs, the Moto X Play is stated to be far better as compared to the Samsung Galaxy phone. The Motorola device consists of a 21-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera with additional functionalities like f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, and auto-HDR.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 sports a 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. As far as the battery specs are concerned, the Motorola device once again outshines the Samsung Galaxy phone. It is reported that the Galaxy J7 2016 features removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery whereas Moto X Play has a huge non-removable 3630 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the Samsung Galaxy phone already comes with an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system while the Moto X Play has been provided with a planned upgrade to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS from Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 is priced at $240, whereas the Moto X Play is available for $255, which is a little bit expensive as compared to the former device.
