NBA Trade Rumors: OKC Thunder's Russell Westbrook Off To Denver Nuggets?

Despite rumors that Oklahoma City Thunder's point guard Russell Westbrook is not interested in playing for a new team, few NBA trade reports claimed that the Thunder might enter a deal with Denver Nuggets.

Sports Rageous reported that Nuggets is ready to offer its power forward Kenneth Faried and point guard Emmanuel Mudiay in exchange for Thunder's Westbrook. The Denver team is reportedly trying to rebuild its roster and Russell Westbrook has emerged to be their top priority.

Reports claimed that Westbrook will help the Nuggets to raise their position in the NBA league along with the team's major talented players like center Nikola Jokic and point guard Jamal Murray. It is also stated that the trio will eventually help the Nuggets to compete with teams like the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs.

According to the latest NBA trade rumors even if Westbrook decides to leave Thunder, the Nuggets players Faried and Mudiay will help the OKC team to rebuild its roster. Reports claimed that Faried has an average of 12.5 points with 8.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game and Mudiay has an average of 12.8 points, 5.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds a game. Both the players are stated to provide Thunder with great assistance in the offensive and defensive side with their skills.

Furthermore, Denver Stiffs reported that OKC Thunder might also ask for Nuggets other players like Danilo Gallinari, Joffrey Lauvergne, and Will Barton instead of Faried and Mudiay combination. However, for this NBA trade, the OKC thunder will exchange their small forward Kyle Singler with Nuggets instead of Westbrook.

However, there are reports that OKC Thunder had earlier expressed their desire to extend Westbrook's contract, in order to save the team from facing another Kevin Durant-like worse situation. But, the sports publication stated that Westbrook has not commented anything as of now about whether he will remain with his current team or will take other good offers.
