The latest rumors about the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 hinted that the device will sport improved Touch ID functions and a new operating system.

According to the leaked information from the KGI report, the new MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to feature touch-sensitive OLED function key display, reported 9 to 5 Mac. Reports also claimed that apart from the new OLED keys, the upcoming Apple device will also feature the latest mac operating system, the macOS Sierra.

The new system is expected to provide the MacBook Pro 2016 with the personal digital assistant Siri, which will have new capabilities designed just for the desktop. The new OS is also reported to support the Drag & Drop feature along with Apple Pay functionality.

To add to the speculations, there are reports that the new MacBook Pro will also sport a Touch ID power button. BGR stated that this new feature is expected to provide the device users with added layer of authentication service.

Reports claimed that the macOS Sierra will also add the Auto Unlock feature, which will give the MacBook Pro users an instant access just with the help of their Apple Watch.

On the other hand, the upcoming Apple device is expected to sport a much slimmer, thinner, and lighter design compared to its predecessors. It will also consist of four USB Type-C ports with an embedded support for the Thunderbolt 3 functionality and no MagSafe charging port.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that the new MacBook Pro 2016 models will be launched in the fourth quarter of the year hinting at a November release date. The company might scrap the MacBook Air series in order to focus solely on the Pro computers.

However, there is no official word on either the release date or the MacBook Air series. Stay tuned here for more updates.
