Dheeraj RA major leak from the Canadian wireless carrier hinted at a possible release date of the Google's new Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. According to the leaked image, the technology giant will finally release its new OS on August 22.
9 to 5 Google reported that the first few smartphones to receive the latest Android Nougat system are listed down as the Huawei Nexus 6P and the LG Nexus 5X. All the other phones mentioned in the article will only receive security updates and the Samsung A5 devices will be provided with the Android Marshmallow update.
Furthermore, the leaked Android Nougat release date is rumored to have pointed towards the possible launch of the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 phones including the latest operating system, reported BGR.
On the other hand, few reports claimed that the latest operating system from Google will sport some of the best corporate-security enhancement features like the Always-on VPN, Work security challenge, Work mode, dialer tweaks, QR code provisions and remote bug reports.
CIO reported that the Always-on VPN is an IT security feature, which will enable the users to force few business-related applications to use a VPN in order to connect to the internet. Besides, the Work security challenge will help the Android Nougat users to set a complex passcode to protect certain work-related data.
Moreover, the Work mode option will provide the users with the flexibility to disable all the work-related applications for a certain time period when they don't want to be disturbed. With the help of the dialer tweaks, the users will also be able to separate their business and personal call logs.
Another security feature that will be provided to the Android Nougat users is the remote bug report option. It will also enable the device admin to request access to sensitive information.
Also, the latest Google OS is expected to provide the user's smartphones with the provision of direct boot option, stronger Media Server, and seamless software updates.
