The latest rumors on the MacBook Air hinted that the Apple device might be launched in 2017. According to the reports, the technology giant is currently busy enhancing its other device lineups like the MacBook Pro and the iPhones, which has reportedly delayed the new Air laptops.

However, Mobi Picker stated that the Cupertino-based company might even scrap the device and focus on the new version of the MacBook Pro 2016. Reports claimed that the lack of any major updates for the Air series laptops has triggered the rumors that the production of the device will be stopped.

Meanwhile, as the users anticipate the release of the new MacBook Air 2017, Android Origin suggested that if the company decides to retain the Air series, it is expected to be ultra-portable and consist of the Retina display. Reports also claimed that the Apple device might also include the next-gen Kaby Lake processors along with the upgraded RAM capacity.

Besides, rumors hinted that the MacBook Air 2017 will sport Force Touch trackpad along with Touch ID integration as fingerprint scanners. With the fingerprint technology in the laptops, the new Apple device is expected to attract the young crowd and thus boost up its sales. Also, the device might include the Apple Pencil, which will be compatible with the trackpads.

Nonetheless, amidst all the rumors, MIS- Asia stated that the MacBook Air 2017 will be launched in March 2017 with two variants, which will be differentiated on the basis of their screen size of 13-inch model and 15-inch. Also, the new MacBook Air is expected to be priced for $1200.

On the other hand, the rumored MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be sleeker than its predecessor. Also, the new MacBook is rumored to consist of the Intel Kaby Lake chipset along with Thunderbolt 3 port.

However, there is no official confirmation about the specs and release date of the MacBook Air 2017. Keep posted here for more rumors and updates.
