The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Motorola Moto G4 Plus comparison reports hinted at a brewing war between the two devices. Both the smartphones purportedly sports many excellent specs like a huge battery, fast processor, and excellent camera specs. Below we have jotted down the features of the Xiaomi and the Motorola phones in order to help you decide which device is the best deal.

To start with the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a full metallic chassis with the antenna lines on the back panel and curved glass on the front. The only difference as compared to its predecessor is that the speaker has been dragged down to the bottom while the camera and the fingerprint sensor remain at the same position.

On the other hand, the Motorola Moto G4 Plus features a curved chassis and a front-placed home button. It sports a fingerprint scanner on the front, incorporated in the home key. The Motorola phone is also a bit thicker and taller as compared to the Xiaomi phone.

Both the phones are touted to be similar in terms of display specs with a 5.5-inch screen and IPS LCD display panel along with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.

As far as the performance-related specs are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is powered by a powerful MediaTek Helio X20 chipset and has been made available in two variants based on the RAM and storage capacity. The Standard edition comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage whereas the High edition consists of 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage on board.

Besides, the Moto G4 Plus sports a Snapdragon 617 processor with choices in terms of the RAM and storage. The users can choose from 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage or 3GB RAM and 32 GB storage or 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage options.

When it comes to camera specs, the Moto G4 Plus excels with a 16-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera with additional features like laser autofocus and 1080p video recording whereas the Xiaomi phone consists of a 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera.

In terms of battery specs, the Redmi Note 4 packs a huge 4100 mAh battery, while Moto G4 Plus sports a less powerful 3000 mAh battery. Besides, both the devices consist of similar software specs as they feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been priced at $135 for the base model whereas the Moto G4 Plus is available at around $200 for the basic model.

Even though both the smartphones appear to have almost the similar specs and feature, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is touted to be the best amongst the two. Nevertheless, choosing the device out of the two excellent options will depend on your specs requirement and allocated budget.
