The eighth episode of "Dangan Ronpa 3: Future Arc" has left fans waiting excitedly for the next episodes. As the series draws to a close, more questions are answered, but some are still left hanging, leaving room for fans to speculate.

Episode 8 Recap

Episode 8, titled "Who Killed Cock Robin," focused mainly on the murder of Sonosuke Izayoi, Super High School Level Blacksmith, and Ruruka Ando's lover. 

Kirigiri confirms that Ando killed Izayoi by exploiting his NG code, eating. The knife stabbed onto Izayoi's body is a decoy to cover up Ando's crime.

Juzo Sakakura bursts into the room and gets impaled by a spear via a trap set by Kizakura. Ando also left a trap of her own, causing Kyoko to almost fall to her death. Kizakura managed to save her, however, with dire consequences.

Kizakura cannot open his left hand, as per his NG code, but he used this to catch Kyoko and pull her to safety. This resulted in the poison being injected into his bloodstream and led to his death.

Before Kizakura dies, he revealed that he is actually Jin Kirigiri's friend, and he was the one who took the picture on his desk, which was also featured in the first "Dangan Ronpa" game.

Meanwhile, Ando gets cornered when Kyoko exposed the truth, revealing that she killed Izayoi because he found an exit. Ando's NG code prevents anyone from leaving the area, and she killed Izayoi to save herself from dying.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Future Foundation base, Byakuya Togami rescues Yasuhiro Hagakure from the helicopters and proceeds to infiltrate the building and try to save the participants of the killing game. 

The episode ended with the building collapsing, with Byakuya and the rest of his men inside.

Will Byakuya Togami Die?

The burning question that episode 8 left fans is whether Byakuya will survive the collapsing building.

As we can remember in episode 7, Monaca revealed that the next person to die will be someone from Class 78, which refers to the survivors of the first killing school life. The last episode implied that Byakuya will die. 

However, knowing the creator Kazutaka Kodaka's penchant for massive plot twists, there is a high probability that Byakuya survives in the next episode.

Location of the Future Foundation Base confirmed?

Fans on Reddit speculated that the participants of the killing game are inside the Future Foundation base that is submerged underwater.

Since the building that Byakuya was in collapsed, and it was shown that Aoi Asahina and Makoto Naegi only heard a rumble from where they are located, it is speculated that there are two Future Foundation buildings in the same place, but one is above ground while the other one is underwater.

The ninth episode of "Dangan Ronpa 3: Future Arc" will be aired next week, Sept. 5.
