'The Last Guardian' Delayed? Game Absent From Sony's Tokyo Game Show Lineup

The much awaited title "The Last Guardian" is notably absent on Sony's Tokyo Game Show lineup, and fans are now fearing for the worst.

According to WCCF Tech, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has recently announced its games lineup for the upcoming "Tokyo Game Show."

Sony's highly anticipated titles will be showcased, like "Horizon: Zero Dawn," "Nioh," "World of Final Fantasy," "Final Fantasy XV," and more. Even the indefinitely delayed "Gran Turismo Sport" will be making an appearance.

However, "The Last Guardian," which is slated for an October release, is nowhere to be found on the list, causing fans to speculate if the title is headed for yet another delay.

Fans who have been following "The Last Guardian"'s development already know about the game's troubled history. The game was said to be in development hell since 2007, with Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. president Shuhei Yoshida citing the jump from PS3 to PS4 as the main reason for the delay.

Last month, Sony seem to reassure fans that the game will finally be released in October, posting a whole new set of beautiful screenshots on its Facebook page. Now with the game missing from Sony's Tokyo Game Show list, the fandom is once again thrown into uncertainty.
