Apple finally unveiled the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at the technical event yesterday with new specs like water and dust-resistant design, impressive dual camera, AirBuds, and touch-sensitive screen.

The new iPhone 7 models are touted to be more of the same kind like that of their predecessors. CNET reported that around 43 percent people are not even interested in buying either of the two Apple iPhones, whereas 28 percent users are expected to decide after reading reviews.

In order to help you decide whether to upgrade to the newer versions or not, we have listed out the features of the two variants of the latest iPhone.

To start with, both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus feature a Series 7000 Aluminum chassis similar to their earlier installments. The technology giant has removed the 3.5mm headphone jack and instead replaced it with just a single Lightning port in both the models. Also, the new iPhone 7 variants are said to be durable owing to their dust and water resistant functionality.

In addition, the Apple devices sport a touch-sensitive surface as the company has removed the physical home button. Also, the two variants of the iPhone feature the antenna bands on the top and bottom edges and consist of dual speakers for enhanced audio experience.

Nonetheless, the two models are not similar when it comes to display. The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch screen with IPS LCD display and 1334 x 750 pixels resolution, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus sports a 5.5-inch screen with LED-backlit IPS LCD display and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

In terms of performance-related specs, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sport Apple's A10 chipset along with quad-core CPU, 2 GB RAM, and 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage options. It is touted the upgraded processor will provide the iPhone users with up to 40 percent faster CPU performance and 50 percent faster graphics performance as compared to the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

The new iPhones already have a good first impression with their camera specs. The iPhone 7 consists of a 12- megapixel rear and a 7-megapixel front camera sensor along with additional specs like Focus Pixels, Optical Image Stabilization, dual tone flash, and 4K video recording.

On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus sports a dual 12-megapixel rear cameras where one of the cameras is similar to the wide-angle lens in the iPhone 7 model, while the second camera is a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and big depth of field.

Additionally, there are very minimal improvements when it comes to battery specs in the iPhone 7 variants as the batteries are reported to be similar to their predecessors with just two additional hours of usage time.

Last but not the least, the iPhone 7 is priced at $649 for its 32 GB base model, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus base variant has been made available for $749.

Now, as the specs included in the new Apple devices are jotted down, upgrading to a newer version will totally depend on your requirement and budget.
