The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Sony Xperia X are just two of the latest devices from two different well-known companies in the smart phone industry that were recently unveiled; and to gauge which model is far better, let's compare both in design and functionality.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is absolutely stuffed with great features including its amazing S-Pen, powerful iris scanner, and one of the best HDR-ready mobile screens of all time, according to Recombu. Meanwhile, Sony Xperia X boasts its stunning camera and handy design.

The Note 7 is said to be heavier than Xperia X as the former weighs 169g, while the latter is at 153g. Also, the Xperia X is pleasingly compact and can easily be used one-handed as it only has 5-inch screen than the Note 7 with 5.7-inch screen, which is quite handful and is meant for big hands with equally big wallets.

Talking about its design, the Note 7 is stylish with premium-looking and a glass-and-metal-fused design that will surely awe people, as reported by Techradar. However, with Xperia X's boxy design, it doesn't make the phone stand out and own the spotlight.

Another winning feature of the Note 7 aside from being water resistant is its dominant Snapdragon 820/Exynos chipset. Meanwhile, the Xperia X only has a Snapdragon 650 processor. Still, it promises to provide a smooth daily experience.

Futhermore, the Note 7 is said to have a crisp display with its 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution, AMOLED screen, partnered with a 12-megapixel camera with a clear shot in low lighting. The Xperia X, on the other hand, performs well in snapping pictures with its 23-megapixel camera, but results aren't quite as crisp when the lights go down. However, its 13-megapixel selfie camera is doing better in low settings.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is a bit pricey with $700 than that of Sony Xperia X with a more practical rate of $400.

Overall, though the Galaxy Note 7 will cost you much more, its robust design and powerful features won't make you regret having one. Although the Xperia X is not ideal for a smartphone enthusiast, it can still show its worth as an everyday phone.
