With a no-show at the recent IFA, the Apple iPad Mini 5 is now expected to be launched at the technology giant's new event in March 2017. Reports claimed that Apple recently made many changes to the iPad Mini listings, which has hinted that the company is heading towards the release of the new installment.

NeuroGadget reported that last year, the iPad Mini 4 was launched in September, which paved way for the rumors that Apple will release the next installment this month. However, the Cupertino-based technology giant chose to launch selected device like the iPhone 7 and Apple Watch Series 2.

Apart from the release date rumors, PC Tablet stated that the upcoming iPad Mini 5 will sport a pressure sensitive 3D Touch button. The new iPad Mini will be thinner and lighter compared to its predecessors. It is rumored to consist of a high-quality bend resistant 7000-series aluminum chassis without the 3.5mm jack, while the removal of the port is stated to help the new gadget make water and dust-resistant.

As far as the other specs are concerned, the Apple tablet is expected to feature a 7.9-inch screen with Retina display. In terms of performance-related specs, the fifth installment of the iPad Mini device is rumored to sport the enhanced A9 processor along with 7th-genration PowerVR GPU. It will also reportedly have a 3 GB RAM and internal storage of 32 GB expandable up to 256 GB.

Furthermore, rumors hinted that the iPad Mini 5 will sport the similar battery like that of its predecessor, which is 5124 mAh battery and will provide the users with talk time up to 10 hours even with multimedia usage. The device is also expected to feature an 8-megapixel rear and a 1.2-megapixel front camera.

In terms of software specs, Apple's new device is rumored to feature the latest iOS 10, which is expected to provide the customers with enhanced user interface, improved graphics, and excellent overall performance.
