The latest NBA trade rumors hinted at a possible deal between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers. Reports claimed that the Kicks might bring in the 76ers center Jahlil Okafor before the start of the new season in order to improve their roster.

Sports Blog reported that the Knicks are planning to enhance their gameplay in the upcoming NBA season with Okafor as expected to be the perfect fit as the 20-year-old player has excellent offensive and defensive skills, amazing footwork capability, and the aptitude to work in the low post. All these skills are expected to help the Knicks to provide a tough competition to other teams in the NBA league.

Furthermore, it is stated that the Knicks might team up Okafor with power forward Kristaps Porzingis, who has excellent on-court defensive skills. Rumors hinted that the duo will help the New York Knicks to win a number of matches in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, in order to make the deal with 76ers successful, the New York Knicks are rumored to give away their shooting guard Justin Holiday or power forward Kyle O'Quinn along with some first-round NBA draft picks.

On the other hand, reports stated that the 76ers are willing to trade few players as they currently have a crowded front court. Certain NBA trade rumors claimed that bringing in new players from the New York Knicks will help the 76ers to also focus on the backcourt gameplay, and thus create their dominance in the Eastern Conference league.

In contrast, few reports hinted that the Philadelphia 76ers might trade Okafor to the Boston Celtics in order to acquire their third pick for the NBA Draft 2016 season, Jaylen Brown. However, neither of the teams mentioned in the report have officially confirmed about the trade scenarios.
