'World Of Final Fantasy': Three Reasons Why You Should Play The Game
J RoseSquare Enix's other "Final Fantasy" game, "World of Final Fantasy," will be launching this month! With all the hype surrounding "Final Fantasy XV," the traditional RPG title is not getting the attention it truly deserves.
Here are a few reasons why you should get a copy of "World of Final Fantasy" this month.
Tons of Cute "Final Fantasy" Characters
The main selling point of "World of Final Fantasy" is the inclusion of animated "chibi" versions of classic characters from the "Final Fantasy" universe.
On the decision to use chibi characters in the game, Director Hiroki Chiba told RPG Site, "So when deciding on a character, we approached Mr. Izumisawa from Crystal Chronicles because he loved to draw cute characters."
Chiba also said that it is challenging to introduce a new kind of art style on an existing franchise, especially for one as big as "Final Fantasy." Fortunately for them, Producer Shiji Hashimoto liked the design and the new look.
You Can Catch Monsters, Like "Pokémon"
The game's main premise allows main characters Lann and Reynn to capture creatures in the game called Mirages. Captured Mirages can help our heroes fight against the main threat.
Basically, if you like "Pokémon" and "Final Fantasy," this game is perfect for you. If you are also familiar with and has enjoyed the monster catching elements of "Ni No Kuni," then "World of Final Fantasy" is right up your alley.
Turn-based Battle Mechanics, Traditional RPG Elements
While most new RPG's have abandoned turn-based mechanics in favor of a more action oriented battle system, "World of Final Fantasy" stays true to its "Final Fantasy" roots with the Active Time Battle system.
There will also be both random encounters and story-based encounters, old-school RPG elements which are rare nowadays. If you want to experience a true blue traditional Japanese RPG, then "World of Final Fantasy" is a must buy.
"World of Final Fantasy" will be released for the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita on October 25 in the US, and October 27 in Japan.
