The latest update on former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey's next fight suggested that she is all set to make a comeback to the Octagon. Rousey will battle with the current UFC women's champion Amanda Nunes.

The Guardian reported that Ronda Rousey's next fight will take place at UFC 207 on December 30. It is stated that the match will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which will be Rousey's first fight after her defeat to Holly Holm last year in November.

Earlier, Rousey was expected to make a comeback in July this year to fight Holm at UFC 200, which was touted to be the most exciting match in the history. But, the match was delayed because of Rousey's knee surgery. It is now stated that the 29-year-old champ is all healthy and ready to return back to the ring and display her nerve-wracking fight.

As far as Nunes is concerned, Fox Sports reported that the 28-year-old current UFC champ is looking forward to defeating Rousey in her comeback fight. According to the reports, Nunes is expecting that her next UFC match with Rousey will turn out to be a game changer.

"My message to her is to say thank you, this fight's going to change my life, my career and I hope she's ready," Nunes told TMZ. "I know she's a very tough opponent, but I'm the best in the world. I know how I'm going to beat Ronda Rousey. I've been training for Ronda Rousey since my first fight in the UFC. She's going to be very surprised when I touch her when I connect with my punches."

Even though Dana White's decision to bring back Rousey to the Octagon was opposed by Cris Cyborg and Julianna Pena, Nunes expressed that Rousey is a talented athlete and deserves a second chance.

Ronda Rousey's next fight with Amanda Nunes is expected to be one of the highest pay-per-view matches of all time.
