Speculations about "NCIS: Los Angeles" continue to swirl online as it started its Season 8 with dramatic and actions scenes.

In Episode 5, based on the CBS synopsis, "The murder of a navy machinist with high security clearance sends the team on a city-wide hunt tracking evidence. Also, Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) partners with Callen, and Sam assists Hetty in the on-going mole investigation."

However, last week's episode ended with Kensi Byle pressing the hand of Hetty, signifying that she is on her recovery. It seemed like something bad happened as the trailer shows Kensi's mother calling Marty Deeks asking him to run to the hospital. It has been seen that Deeks was crying while talking to Byle.

Earlier, Marty Deeks proposed to Byle even though she was still in coma. However, in the trailer it does not show if she will still make it to the next episode anymore.

On the other hand, according to TV Line, Callen and Anna Kolcheck will reunite in the upcoming episode. Rumors about Anna replacing Kensi surfaced as she is still ill after a helicopter accident and her condition is not getting any better by the moment. There were speculations that Kensi is going to die.

In connection to this, a possible romance might happen between Callen and Anna.

"With Kensi out of commission for a bit, we bring in somebody else to help the team - Anna Kolcheck." "We're sort of pushing that relationship (with Callen) forward as well,"," showruner R.scott Gremmill told TVLine.

However, TV Fanatic said that the Callen and Kolcheck reunion might be for a while only because of the former's past relationship. Anna and Callen's romance is "on-again, off-again flirtation, which is cute, in small doses."

"Any relationship of Callen's is doomed to failure, since he's most involved with his tortured psyche," the source added.

"NCIS:Los Angeles" is aired every Sunday on CBS.
