"Scarlet Heart: Goryeo" came to an end on the evening of November 1 KST. However, fans of Lee Jun Ki, IU, and the rest of the cast want a continuation of the SBS historical romance drama series.

Supporters of the drama started a petition four days ago and posted it in Change.org stating, "Make "Scarlet Heart:Ryeo- Season 2" possible!"

"As all of you can notice, "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" is having a huge and massive impact on k-drama fans allover the world, despite the low and unjustified ratings in Korea," the petition reads.

"Since the tv show is based on the Chinese version ("Bu Bu Jing Xin"), we really want to ask to SBS Network (Seoul Broadcasting System) to make a sequel of Season 1, like the original one. And since it's known that, usually, sequels are created without involve all the actors of the previous work, we're asking to keep their contracts valid for the new one as well," the petitioner, Charlene Mae Perez added.

As of writing, there are only 150 people needed in order to reach the goal of 7,500 for the petition.

However, there were no official announcements from the SBS network regarding this petition.

Meanwhile, Lee Jun Ki along with other casts including IU ,Nam Joo Hyuk, Ji Soo, Hong Jong Hyu, Jin Ki Joo, Baekhyun expressed their thanks to the international fans of the drama for continuing their support as posted on Drama Fever's Official Facebook Page.

To recall. Lee Jun Ki already thanks his fans, especially his Chinese fans for making the "Scarlet Heart: Goryeo" hit 2 billion views on a Chinese streaming site.

On October 26, Lee Jun Ki took to Instagram to post a video of himself and included a caption in English where he thanked fans for the record-breaking number of views.
