iPad Pro 2 Tablets In 3 Variants For Spring 2017 Release? Rumors Suggest Sleeker Design With Headphones, Huge Upgrade
PrakashApple fans are continuously on the look out to upgrade their iPads. It has been more than a year since the iPad Pro was launched. Since no announcement regarding iPad Pro 2 was made at the October 27 event, we expect a major change in the upcoming iPad line ups in 2017.
Apple will reportedly ship three new iPad Pro models around Spring 2017, namely, the 7.9-inch, 10.1-inch, and 12.9-inch models, according to Japanese blog Mac Otakara.
As per rumors, the 12.9-inch model will feature a True Tone display like its current 9.7-inch counterpart. It will also come with advanced four-channel ambient light sensors to automatically adapt the color and intensity of the display to match the light in the surrounding environment.
Interestingly, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is also said to gain the 9.7-inch model's same 12-megapixel rear-facing iSight camera and True Tone flash.
As Apple works to standardize features across its tablet lineup, the iPad mini 4 successors will likewise include a Smart Connector, True Tone display, four speakers, and a 12-megapixel rear-facing iSight camera with True Tone flash.
Although we saw headphones jacks removed from the iPhone 7, it is rumored that all the new iPads will retain the 3.5mm headphone jacks with the introduction of quad microphones.
As per the predictions of KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, said that Apple is planning to release three new iPads in 2017.
It is expected that the iPad Pro 2 should be launched with iOS 11 and feature the powerful A10X processors. Rumors speculate about a 4GB RAM capacity for the upcoming iPad Pro model.
However, rumors surrounding the end of iPad mini has surfaced due to Apple's focus on its larger tablet lineup. Also, it is expected that the recent 5.5-inch iPhone models have reduced the demand of Apple's iPad mini.
Stay tuned for more updates.
