The Google Pixel and the Lenovo K5 were launched in 2016. With Lenovo competing with others for market supremacy, we thought of comparing these smartphones.

The Lenovo phone is taller, wider, and denser than the Pixel model, with a better design to boot. From the display perspective, the K5 Note has a larger screen than the Pixel.

Looking at the hardware, the Google Pixel is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset with a quad-core processor working at 1.6 GHz supported by Adreno 530. In the case of the Lenovo K5 Note model, it is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 supported by Mali-T830MP2 according to NDTV Gadgets. It seems the Lenovo smartphone has better CPU speed  as well as and can provide a better and smoother experience, especially when multitasking between applications than the Pixel model.

Google smartphone has more RAM capacity than the K5 Note device. It also has twice the internal storage memory capacity as that of the Lenovo model, as reported by Smartprix. However, unlike the Google Pixel, the Lenovo smartphone supports expandable storage and has an expandable memory capacity of 128 GB.

The Google Pixel comes with 12.3 MP rear and 8 MP front camera, whereas the Lenovo smartphone comes with 13MP rear and 8 MP front shooter. From the specs, it seems like the K5 Note is the better choice for shutterbugs, but not by a landslide.

The K5 Note has more battery capacity than the Google smartphone. The Google Pixel was launched with the operating system as Android Nougat, while in the case of Lenovo smartphone it was launched with Android 5.1 operating system.

Between the two smartphones, only the Lenovo K5 Note supports Dual-SIM as well as FM Radio.

It seems the Lenovo K5 Note does seem to beat the Google Pixel in most categories. However, the new processor and the latest Android operating design does bring some appeal for the Google Pixel.
