'Tom Clancy's The Division' DLC 'Survival' Finally Gets Released And It Is Somewhat A Game Changer

After the long wait, Ubisoft's DLC for the game "The Division" finally came out, but not exactly for everybody. For those who got the DLC called "Survival," the title pretty much says it all.

Kotaku recently reported that the "Survival" DLC finally got released for some PC players. This introduces a new game mode that pits 24 players will have to fight in order to pretty much live up to the DLC's namesake.

This new mode is set on the same exact New York City map like in the main game, but players are now have to head over to the center of the Manhattan in order to find gears and items. The match proceeds while the players get down from helicopters, which lands in a very unpleasant manner and with low-level gears to boot with.

The players need to fight effectively while saving their resources in order to survive in this game mode and this time, the players will also have to keep their selves "warm" as the harsh cold weather will also affect them. Several items like scarves and coats will now have a "cold rating," which will be essential in keeping the players warm.

At the moment, the DLC "Survival" is only available for those who obtained the beta version through Uplay and no Steam release yet. The "Survival" DLC will eventually be a part of the next update for the Xbox One and PC update with patch 1.5

For those who would like to at least see the "Survival" game mode in action before it finally gets released globally can head over to Kotaku or wait for the official livestream for "The Division."

"Survival" is second to the last DLC that will be released for "The Division," and the last addition called "Last Stand" is expected to be coming around early 2017 as opposed to its initial scheduled release this winter.
