Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Relase Date Expected In Spring 2017, Likley Feature Rechargeable Stylus
PrakashMicrosoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be released soon next year, following the success of the Surface Pro 4. There are rumors surrounding the Internet regarding its release date and features. Let's compile the expectations of the experts and Surface Pro fans.
The release date is based on two events: the second major update to Windows 10 which was delayed and the launch of Intel's 14-nanometer Kaby Lake processor. It could correspond to a new hardware launch from Microsoft in spring of next year.
It is expected that the Surface Pro 5 will be priced starting $899 (£749, AU$1,349), depending on the configuration and accessories you choose.
Earlier this year, there was a patent filed by Microsoft for a stylus that features a rechargeable battery system. We can hope to see a major change in the Stylus of Surface Pro 5.
According to TechRadar, the patent details a magnetic charging dock built to give the new Surface Pen its juice, seemingly with connectors meant for a Surface Dock mounting.
When it comes to expectation, from the screen size and resolution to the hardware inside, we expect some major upgrade in Surface Pro 5.
The longer battery life of new Surface Pro 5 will be major attraction for the customers. Unlike, Microsoft's promise of 9 hours video playback in Surface Pro 4, TechRadar rated the device for 5.15 hours video playback. Practically we hope to see almost 7 hours battery life.
In terms of resolution, Microsoft has already outperformed with razor sharp 267 ppi in its Surface Pro 4. A bigger screen will cast effect on battery life.
However, if the next Surface Pro were equipped with 4K (3,840 pixels wide, at least) screen, it would woo film and photo editors.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Surface Pro 5 features and release date.
