Ji Chang Wook Thanks Fans For Supporting 'The K2'; Actor Hinted Possible Upcoming Projects?

Ji Chang Wook's "The K2" action drama series continue to capture viewers making the tvN drama series gained its highest viewership ratings and hailing it to the top spot for weekend drama. In connection with this, lead actor Ji Chang Wook personally thanks his fans for their undying support and hinted his upcoming projects in an interview.

"The K2" episode 5 and episode 14 are some of the scenes where it garnered 7.6 percent and 5.4 percent, respectively. These ratings helped the drama series maintained its spot as the top weekend Kdrama series.

Ji Chang Wook, who was acknowledged for his hard work ethic and dedication to action scenes, took the opportunity during an interview for their love and interest towards his current drama.

"While I didn't select this production because I expected to be lauded, I want to thank everyone for their praise and I will continue to work hard so I can keep on hearing praise," the 29-year-old actor said.

Moreover, "The K2" lead actor promised, together with his co-star Im YoonA, to personally deliver coffee for fans because of their high ratings.

On November 9, tvN released an official statement that announced plans for Girls' Generation's Im YoonA and Ji Chang Wook to fulfill their ratings promise. The two had previously made a promise to personally buy coffee for viewers if the drama "The K2" reached up to five percent in viewership ratings.

Meanwhile, since "The K2" is almost done, with just two more episodes to air, fans are curious about Ji Chang Wook's future work. The actor recently hinted his interest to play on wide range of roles.

"I want to do a wide range of works. So far it's been action combined with melodrama. For the next work, I want to do something that's purely human emotions, love, things like that," the actor shared.

For now, fans can wait for Ji Chang Wook's upcoming web drama for Lotte Duty Free Shop entitled "First Kiss for the Sixth Time" will also star Lee Jong Suk, Lee Jun Ki, Park Hae Jin, EXO's Kai, 2Pm's Taecyeon and actress Lee Cho Hee.
