Electric cars are leading the renewable energy industry with the Tesla Model 3, the Chevy Bolt, and the Nissan Leaf paving the way.

As per the market sentiment, people are willing to buy an electric car, but are simultaneously hesitant about their reliability on road.

General Motors says that the Bolt will have a range of over 200 miles and will include a quick-charge outlet that enables 30 minutes of charging to produce enough reserves to travel up to 90 miles.

The direct comparison reveals that the Nissan Leaf can only take you up to 124 miles on a single charge while the Model 3 will run 215 miles on single charge. Tesla give its vehicles about an 80 percent charge in about 40 minutes while Nissan rapid chargers provide up to 80% charge in 30 minutes on the 24kWh battery.

Tesla has offered the Model 3 with flexible interior space and slightly smaller than its other cars. It has a secondary storage space under the bonnet in addition to the bootspace. While the rear seats can be folded down to open up 66 inches of room.

The Leaf, however, is the only electric vehicle in the market today that offers more back seats. There is 330 liters of luggage room, which can be increased up to 680-liters by just pushing forward the rear backrest. In addition, the rear seats can accommodate up to 3 adults.

By streamlining the battery pack mounted beneath the interior floor, Chevy designers were able to make room for five passengers and 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat that extend up to 56.6 cubic feet.

The Nissan Leaf looks like a hatchback, while the Model 3 looks similar to Tesla's older sedans. Inside, passengers sit upright in SUV-like seating positions, enhancing the roomy feel.

Tesla Model 3 will come with the necessary hardware needed for self-driving while there is no news regarding any auto-pilot technology for Nissan Leaf. While GM hasn't declared that the Bolt will include any self-driving features or the potential to support them, the company has stated that it will aggressively pursue the tech.

The Tesla Model 3 and the Chevy Bolt is expected to be shipped in late 2017 while the new Nissan LEAF reveal is expected sometimes in 2018.

The Bolt is priced at $37,500 while the Model 3 at $35,000 with basic options and goes up in price if you would like to load more options. Currently the Nissan LEAF prices range from $29,000 to $ 36,000.

These electric cars will be eligible for federal tax credits in the US, with savings ranging from $7,500 to $13,000 depending on the state.
