HTC Vive 2 Release Date Happening In Early 2017? Gadget To Sport A Sleeker Design With 4K Resolution?
Dheeraj RThe latest speculations about the release date of the HTC Vive 2 suggested that the Taiwanese electronics company is already working on the second VR headset installment after recently launching the device in April 2016.
Neuro Gadget reported that the upcoming HTC Vive 2 gadget is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2017 with excellent new features and functionalities. However, there is still no official confirmation from HTC about the release date of the electronic gadget.
Apart from the release date speculations, few reports touted that the device will feature a new design and improved hardware specs. According to the company's representative Rikard Steiber, the new virtual reality headset will provide its customers with enhanced performance with innovative design onboard.
"This is year one as far as this set of virtual reality experiences goes," said Steiber, as reported by Windows Report. "I think with the amount of innovation going on into space and the amount of players coming into the space, I do think that innovation cycles will be sort of annual."
Furthermore, it is touted that the upcoming HTC Vive 2 headset will offer its customers with a higher 4K resolution. The new resolution panel is rumored to provide the customers with sharp images and vibrant display.
To add on to the speculations, reports hinted that HTC and a startup called TPCast the have collaborated to create a new headset prototype, which will make it totally wireless. It is stated that the new headset will allow the users to connect to the computers through Wi-Fi instead of an HDMI cable. Besides, it is stated that the new HTC Vive 2 headset might also be unveiled with room-scale technology, which will allow the users to easily setup the virtual reality world.
On the other hand, Tech Radar reported that the new installment of the HTC Vive VR headset has been codenamed as Oasis.
