iPhone 8 Release Date Set For September 2017? See Rumored Specs, Features & Other Details [VIDEO]
Vinay PatelApple took the wraps off its highly anticipated iPhone 7 just a few months ago, but Apple fanatics are already clamoring for next year's model: the Apple iPhone 8, which is rumored to be a whale of a launch for the Cupertino-based tech giant.
Apple iPhone 7 was released in Sept. 2016; however, it did not quite sweep tech buffs off their feet --- thanks to the device's monotonous upgrades. This is another reason why many Apple enthusiasts are looking forward to the Apple iPhone 8 release date announcement and other details.
The iPhone is celebrating its tenth anniversary next year; Steve Jobs announced the first iPhone back in Jan. 2007 and released it on June 29 later that year.
With the historic Apple event just around the corner, the rumor mill has been stirring up all sorts of speculations around the purported Apple iPhone 8 release date, specs, and other details indicating that the tech firm has been keeping some of its avant-garde features under wraps for the 2017 model --- which tech pundits claim is the Apple iPhone 8.
Let's delve into some of Apple iPhone 8's latest rumors:
Apple is trying out over 10 different prototypes for its upcoming smartphone, which sources claim will be dubbed as the Apple iPhone 8, The Wall Street Journal reported.
At least one of the aforesaid prototypes is expected to come with a curved OLED display and almost no bezels, just like Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge.
According to multiple sources, Apple is looking to increase OLED output, which has become the latest gold standard as far as display technology is concerned. This is expected to facilitate lower power consumption and offer deeper blacks as compared to traditional LED panels.
Since Samsung's displays are currently in 2K resolution, Apple iPhone 8 will come in 4K display --- making it more fitting for VR (virtual reality) apps, Mirror reported.
Apple iPhone 8 release date could be in the first two weeks of Sept. 2017 if Apple sticks to its release pattern. Apple could also unveil its new smartphone around Sept. 4 or Sept. 11 next year.
