Lee Joon Gi attained more popularity after he starred in the recently concluded "Moon Lover: Scarlet Heart Ryeo", who impressively portrays the role of fourth prince and king, Wang So. His fans will be glad as he landed as another main actor in the much-awaited and star-studded web drama series "7 First Kisses." Moreover, the actor landed his first Hollywood acting gig and will soon debut with "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter."

In a recent interview with Korea's Singles magazine, the 34-year-old Hallyu star revealed the good news that he will be doing a supporting role in the upcoming sci-fi action movie "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter."

Lee Joon Gi will play Umbrella Corporation's Commander Lee, who holds a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo. He will act alongside Hollywood stars Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Ruby Rose, William Levy, Eoin Macken, Rola and Iain Glen.

It was reported that Lee Joon Gi's screen time in "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is relatively short, around five to ten minutes in total. However, his character is expected to have a significant fight scene with lead star Milla Jovovich.

"It's just a special appearance," Lee Joon Gi revealed. "I think of it as a good experience. I have been acting for more than 10 years now, but there's still a lot I want to show everyone. I haven't met my true character yet. I hope to in the future."

"Resident Evil" star Milla Jovovich posted an Instagram selfie with Lee Joon Gi, revealing they were filming together. Sony Pictures' Screen Gems confirmed Lee's casting. The Hollywood actress also reportedly complimented the South Korean actor on his skills in martial arts.

"He is insane martial artist. He does literally everything without wires," Mia said during an interview referring to Lee Joon Gi's skills shown during filming.

Lee Joon Gi expressed his thanks to his co-star by uploading a video clip of Milla Jovovich's past interview with IGN on his Instagram account (shown below), with a caption that reads, "Thank you, Milla! I'm flattered."

Lee Joon Gi's "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is set to premiere early next year.
