Jung Joon Young To Return On '1 Night 2 Days' Soon? Variety Show's PD Gives Hint
GraceAfter two month of hiatus, singer Jung Joong Young may return soon to KBS2 hit variety program "1 Night 2 Days."
In the latest episode, viewers got a glimpse of the former member. He was one of the people who gave surprise message as a gift to Kim Jong Min for his special episode.
On December 11, "1 Night 2 Days" aired the third part of their Kim Jong Min special, who is celebrating his nine years on the show.
To commemorate the occasion, Kim Jong Min received video messages from former cast members and guests.
At the end of his video message, Jung Joon Young was heard saying, "I'll see you soon," making viewers speculate that he was coming back soon.
"I'm in Paris right now," he said in the video. "I feel regretful that I can't be with you right now but I would like to come back as quickly as possible and continue to make good memories with you all."
In an interview with OSEN, the PD of the show said, "I think it was him saying that he would see the members when he came back to Korea [from France]. To be honest, we are thinking about starting talks to bring Jung Joon Young back onto the show. We can't decide it for ourselves, but we're trying to talk it over."
Last month, other media sources already revealed that the singer will return on the variety show however, it was denied by his management agency.
"1 Night 2 Days" team have not yet discussed his return to the show," the artist's management agency C9 Entertainment denied the claim, telling local media.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter was mired in an alleged sexual offense scandal in September, when his ex-girlfriend filed charges against him for recording the couple's sexual activities without her consent earlier this year.
Although he was ultimately acquitted of all charges last month, Jung halted all broadcast activities, withdrawing from his regular appearances on "Two Days, One Night" and the second season of tvN's cooking show "Mr. Baek the Homemade Food Master."
Jung Joon Young has still reportedly remained out of the public eye after the scandal and was said to be working on his new releases in France.
