The 8-bit video home console that started the computer game revolution in the 80s, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) continues to be one of the hottest commoditites in today's holiday market. Also known as the Family computer, the NES game console has been awarded by IGN as the greatest game console of all time.

Several surprise flash sales have been launched by Amazon days after teasing its followers in its twitter account that new stocks of the NES console will be made available. Walmart and Urban Outfitters also came up with its flash sales for the NES CE game console. Best Buy has also recently announced that it will sell limited quantities of the NES console on a first come, first served basis in its selected stores starting December 20. However, despite the numerous flash sales, a number of avid fans are still unable to purchase their own NES game console.

The NES plug-and-play system comes preloaded with 30 classic Nintendo games. Including the precursor of the now famous Super Mario Run, the game Super Mario 3. Other Nintendo classic games that are preloaded in the console include Tecmo Bowl, Metroid, Excitebike and Super Contra.

Another pleasant surprise for the Family Computer's fans is that the original NES cheat codes of the classic games are still usable with its restocked versions. The 397BFFA5 cheat code for an invisible team in Tecmo Bowl is still valid. Also, the right, left, down, up, a, b, start sequence for an additional life in the Super Contra game may still be used in the NES CE preloaded version.

With the limited number of game consoles available, the NES CE has become one of the hottest commodities this holiday season. For those who are yet to get a hold of the classic game console, make sure to check online store pages for the next NES CE game console flash sales.
