This smartphone vs DSLR comparison is going to make some Android owners pretty sad
Shena GolosinoThe quality of a camera in a mobile phone is one of the things that people consider in opting to a new phone. It's a sure thing that if someone will invest at least $600 for a smartphone, the image quality will be great. However, there are differences on using a DSLR and a smartphone.
There's so much competition among gadget companies nowadays. Smartphones have already seen as an all-in-one gadget. When it comes to deciding on what smartphone a person should choose, there are lots of things that people might consider. Fast processor for a fast browsing experience, storage, music, and camera are the things which are always taken as criteria for a powerful mobile device. Well, people nowadays especially those who want to take selfies or capture great moments often use their smartphones. On the other hand, an independent device for taking photos such as the Digital Single Lens Retractor or DSLR has lots of advantages. Check out this comparison.
According to Tech Radar, there was a trial conducted among smartphones and a Nikon D800 E. These smartphones include iPhone 7, Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, HTC 10 and Sony Xperia ZX.
The tests have checked the different cameras against each other with different scenes and actions from landscape to portraits. The Google Pixel stand out among the smartphones in terms of capturing great photos.
On the other hand, according to BGR, the real surprise from these tests isn't the winners but how bad the other smartphone performed. In some situations, the LG, HTC and Sony phones were the smartphones which have captured low-quality images. HTC 10's portrait photos were said to be horrible, details are unclear with Sony, and the LG G5 emits weird colors on its photos.
Overall, using DLSR could still be the best in taking photographs in all occasion. Well, it just depends on one's needs and luxuries.
