Some Cons Of iOS 10.2: Unresolved Problems, Short Battery Life, EarPods And Bluetooth Audio Issues [VIDEO]
Portia Mae M. CansancioApple has finally released iOS 10.2 to the public after a lengthy beta period, which includes seven other beta releases. It was able to provide security fixes and new features despite not being a major OS release; but unfortunately, it came with its own share of problems.
Here are some cons about the iOS 10.2:
Most, if not some, have already updated their iPhones and iPads to iOS 10.2. However, users have reported experiencing significant issues afterwards. Some of these rants were all over social media; this includes not being able to uninstall apps, connect to iTunes, unlock with Touch ID, and stop rebooting. Fortunately, these issues are deemed uncommon and not exactly rampant.
There are other issues, which are not exactly isolated, as well. The iPhone's battery life is one of the biggest complaints of most, if not all, Apple users. Aside from being the issue unresolved, it has gotten worse with the new update. Some users have been complaining about their phones still having 30% remaining battery life, the phone suddenly turning off. Others are saying that there are now huge drops with their battery's life percentage; from 50%, it suddenly goes down to half even on standby mode.
Apple's EarPods are still considered an issue as well. Some users reported about not hearing anything during calls and mic constantly cutting off, according to BGR. 10.2's Bluetooth connectivity also constantly cuts offs and gets rough on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, which are known for not having 3.5mm headphone jacks. But since it's only intermittent, then it might have something to do with interference.
There's one bug Apple was able to fix, but that's really not much of a big deal --- it's more on customizing an Phone without needing to jailbreak it. Using a special black wallpaper, it would make an iPhone's dock and folder backgrounds disappear. Aside from that, some wallpapers can even make folder icons vanish and change to circles, instead of the usual rounded squares.
These are just some of the flaws noted by Apple users themselves about the latest iOS update. Yes, Apple's iPhones and updates are still the fastest, smoothest, and even far more refined than others; but hopefully, Apple fixes these bugs as soon as possible to not lose their beloved Apple loyalists.
