Jennifer Lawrence Wants To Be Mystique In “Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2”

Jennifer Lawrence expressed her interest in playing as Mistique in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2! According to a recent interview with MTV, Jennifer Lawrence stated that she wants to be in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 not as a new character but as Mystique from the X-Men movie series.

Lawrence said during the MTV interview with her Passengers co-star Chris Pratt that she would love to appear in the Guardians of the Galaxy universe. She stated that she might choose that [Guardians of the Galaxy] over doing another X-Men movie. Lawrence also stated, "I won'rt be Mystique in the X-Men movies, but I would love to be Mystique in Guardians of the Galaxy. I wonder if they can do that."

Lawrence's contract with Fox for X-Men ended after X-men: Apocalypse and since then it has not been clear if she's renewing her contract or not. According to Variety, Lawrence said that the latest X-men Movie would be her "last one" but a year later she told the reporters she was "dying to come back." EW also reported that Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawrence talked and made a deal that if one of them doesn't come back, none of them are.

But don't get too excited because the possibility of this happening is down to zero. As also reported in EW, Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 is already in its post-production process and would require another set of shooting just to include Jennifer Lawrence in the film. Also, what makes it more impossible to happen is that Fox has the movie rights to the X-Men franchise while Disney's Marvel Studios hold the Avengers universe including Guardians of the Galaxy. This makes it impossible for the two universes to collide or even meet at some point.

Meanwhile, check out Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt's new sci-fi romance movie "Passengers" in cinemas this Christmas season!
