'Street Fighter V’: Season 2 DLC Brings Rage Quit Penalty Icon, Balance Updates Leaked Early

Capcom will be ceasing all the rage quitters in the new Season 2 of Street Fighter V. These are tougher penalties for those who just can't stop abandoning their matches. Ass-kicking, might be? Here's the update:

According to Polygon, Capcom says that the players with a very high disconnecting rates and very high winning rates will be restricted in the Street Fighter 5 ranking system. The rage-quitters keep on winning and earning their points through ditching a match. This is way off the fair play and it has been a problem because the previous version doesn't indicate players to be a winner or a loser from the disconnected game. These players often avoid all the rules just to retain all their points from Ranked Match.  The changes from Season 2 of Street Fighter V will not let these gamers to be left unpunished. The lack of sportsmanship being a strategic move of the players has been doing the trick for the previous version of the game, but not this time.

In a report by GameSpot, the punishments for rage-quitting players are in the form of a profile badge and other restrictions. Rage quitters will now be forced to display an icon that identifies them as one. They will now be identified by what looks to be the head of death, and there will also be a League Points reduction for disconnecting in the middle of a match.

Inquisitr has said that PC players had previously been restricted from using Direct Input controllers, forcing them to rely on X-Input devices or third-party programs for their controller of choice.

Aside from this, they are also adding Akuma, the Temple of Ascension stage, and character balance changes to the game.

Street Fighter V Season 2 will officially be released on December 20.
