Last November, The Steam Selection Committee has been asked to prequalify and nominate titles for the annual Steam Awards, though a significant patronage was expected, a whopping 15 million response was unexpected for these!

Now the initial selection phase is over. The Selection team of steam has finalized the entries, and the following paragraphs will dictate the awards to be given. From December 22^nd to the 30^th, voting schedule for each award will be set and the winners will be announced on New Year's Eve!

On December 22, at 10 AM PST, the "Villain Most In Need Of A Hug" Award will be voted upon. An award thought of for those characters that needs love, in spite of their "lovely" personalities.

At the same time on the 23^rd of December, the following award will be voted for, is the "I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won an Award". A player loved a game, shared it with friends, then went popular and won award. You played it first.

The day before Christmas, also at the same time, the "Test of Time" award will be voted upon! An award that is for those games that feels the same "good way" from the first time that it was played until now. Whatever happens, through the test of time, players in their hearts know that they will come back to play that game.

Christmas Day, 10 AM PST, a more than familiar. "Just 5 More Minutes" award will be discussed and settled. Early work tomorrow? Responsibilities and Activities piled up, and you will need a complete rest for it? But still playing at 2:30 AM? Hmmmm, just 5 more minutes...

The day after Christmas, at the same time, the "Whoooaaaaaa, dude!" Award. For those games that melts your face, twist your brain through twists, and in summary makes your mind explode!

On the 27^th  of December, at 10 AM PST also, the inception inspired "Game Within a Game" Award, like all other things that are stuffed inside that are good, this prize praises the mini games hidden inside a game that are the best.

The awards and schedule will go on daily until the 30^th of December, for the full list go on to the voting site. Make sure to follow the rules, that from the 22^nd of December until 29^th starting 10 AM PST, a new category will be up for voting. Every category will only be voted on for just 24 hours before getting to the next award. Ensure to check in every day to cast your choice! Alongside New Year the winners will have something in addition to celebrate about.
