Another singleplayer-only MechWarrior is coming in 2018. Russ Bullock said that, outside from the live demo that introduced the announcement, MechWarrior 5 is still ahead of schedule being developed and that a significant number of its elements are as yet being sorted out. 

Reported at MechCon 2016, Piranha Games is taking MechWarrior back to its single-player roots with MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries.
