"Rick and Morty" Season 3 release date has been a hot topic among fans and viewers who have been anxiously waiting for the show's return on TV. As Den of Geek reports, the show was initially expected to come out before the end of 2016.

During the Magic City Comic Con, series co-creator Dan Harmon teased that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is expected to premiere "around the end of this year." However, it appears that this target date will not be met.

Harmon explained during an interview that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is still being produced. The show has just finished working on three out of 14 episodes for this season, so from the looks of it, Mr. Poopybutthole's statement about Season 3 are correct.

It can be recalled that Mr. Poopybutthole stated in the Season 2 finale credits that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 release date will happen in March 2017. While that seems like a long wait to do, Inverse notes that the Adult Swim series recently released a short animatic clip for the upcoming season.

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 spoilers from the clip reveal that Rick will be able to escape from prison. There is also a hint that Rick and Morty may be going on a vacation, as they seemed to go from one adventure to another. Could this mean they are really going to Hawaii?
