'Pokemon Go' 2KM, 5KM, and 10KM Eggs: Starter Pokemon, Lapras, And Snorlax Among Coveted Monsters

In case players missed it, Niantic's Pokemon Go introduced baby Pokemon during its Dec. 12 update, further expanding the Pokedex roster. Even more fortuitous is that players can increase their chances of getting select baby Pokemon, simply by walking a predetermined set of distances: 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km --- with 10 km having the most number of rare Pokemon.

Of course, even baby Pokemon have their own stats board and players would want to get the most worthwhile out of the bunch. Given that, which baby Pokemon should trainers gun for in Pokemon Go?

Baby Pokemon From 2 Km Eggs

While the 2 km eggs might contain some relatively common Pokemon like Pidgey, it's also worth noting that it's an easier way of gaining a starter Pokemon. Eurogamer.net reported that there's a slightly higher probability of getting Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu with 2 km eggs than by trying luck in the wild. 2 km eggs in Pokemon Go would also gain you rare baby Pokemon such as Cleffa and Igglybuff. Magikarp (which evolves into the mighty Gyarados) can also be hatched.

Baby Pokemon From 5 Km Eggs

Hatching 5 km eggs are slightly more difficult, but also more worthwhile. They grant players baby Pokemon such as Pichu and Togepi, both of which are rare in the wild, according to Ranked Boost. Onix can also be hatched from 5 km eggs and while he's one of the weaker Pokemon, the Gen 2 update will allow him to evolve into the powerful Steelix.

Baby Pokemon From 10 Km Eggs

Meanwhile, 10 km eggs in Pokemon Go would get players rare and powerful Pokemon such as Lapras, Dratini, (which evolves into Dragonite), and Snorlax. It's also one way to get extinct Pokemon Omanyte, Kabuto, and Omastar. Other worthwhile Pokemon include Elekid, Magby, and Mr. Mime.

Stay tuned for more Pokemon Go baby Pokemon updates.
